This is the first in-service master’s program in Taiwan’s Library and Information Science field that allows students to earn a degree through distance education.
The program’s mission is to cultivate advanced professionals in library and information science and archival studies who are well-balanced in both theory and practice. It also aims to integrate related disciplines, enabling students to learn flexibly, understand the development of libraries and archives, and grasp the dynamics of a diversified information environment. The program nurtures specialists who combine technological expertise with humanistic concern in the digital information era, advancing toward new frontiers in information services.
The main research areas include Library and Information Science, Archival Studies, Digital Libraries, E-Learning, and Informetrics.
